Amanda Carver, M.Ed, CCC, RP
Registered Psychotherapist – registered with Non-Insured Health Benefits (NIHB) for Indigenous clients.
Life can be overwhelming. We feel like we can’t keep up to life’s demands. We struggle to cope. While these are normal human reactions to busy lives and stress, we often go through this silently and alone.
Struggling doesn’t mean you’re failing — it means you’re human, and your nervous system is
doing its best to carry what’s on your plate. If you feel ready to reach out, I’d be glad to connect
and help you take the next steady step toward clarity, grounding, and support.
The relationship you build with your therapist is one of the most important parts of the work, and
it matters that you feel comfortable and supported. I’m happy to offer a brief phone consultation
so you can get a sense of my presence and whether I’m the right fit for you. If we discover I’m
not the best match for you, I’m more than happy to help you connect with a therapist who feels
right. I have a trusted network I can draw from, and if I can’t support you directly, I’ll do my best
to guide you toward someone who can.
Since 2009, I’ve had the privilege of supporting individuals as they navigate stress, overwhelm,
relationship patterns, identity questions, grief, and trauma. My work is grounded in a warm,
steady, nervous‐system‐attuned approach that helps people slow down, breathe, and make
sense of what they’re carrying.
I believe in whole‐person wellness—mind, body, relationships, community—and I hold space
with steadiness, humility, and deep respect for each person’s lived experience. I’m continually
shaped by the diverse, values‐driven clinicians I collaborate with and the communities I serve.
Because each person’s story and nervous system is unique, I tailor therapy to your pace and
needs. My work integrates trauma‐informed, attachment‐focused, and somatic perspectives,
drawing from approaches such as EMDR, mindfulness‐based strategies, and nervous‐system
regulation.
Clients often describe my presence as warm, grounded, down to earth and clear—supportive
without pressure, and curious without judgment. Together, we explore what’s happening
beneath the surface, strengthen what helps you feel anchored, and build tools for clarity,
resilience, and emotional steadiness. I offer you not only a place to explore and feel listened to,
but also a solid tool kit tailored to your needs.
